Every guide on this site starts with a question someone actually asked. Why did my exchange rate change overnight? Is this AI tool worth paying for? What should a partnership contract cover? We would rather answer one practical question thoroughly than skim across ten.
Explain the mechanism, not the prediction
Forecasts age badly. Explanations last. So instead of guessing where a currency or a technology is heading, we focus on how it works: what a bid and ask price are, how retrieval-augmented AI finds its sources, what happens to an audio file during conversion. Readers who understand the mechanism can judge the next headline for themselves.
Plain words first
Finance and technology both love jargon. When a technical term is unavoidable, we define it the first time it appears. Long sentences get broken up, and lists are used when a reader is likely to want a checklist.
Risks belong in the main text
If a product or practice carries real downsides — leverage in currency trading, legal grey areas in streaming, costs hidden in a loan — we say so in the body of the article, not in small print at the bottom. Money and legal topics always point readers towards qualified, independent advice for decisions about their own situation.
No invented authority
We don't quote experts we haven't spoken to, cite studies we can't name or put numbers on things that can't be measured. Where something is uncertain, the article says it is uncertain.
Keeping pages current
Technology changes quickly and rules change too. Older articles are reviewed and rewritten when they no longer reflect how things work, and genuine mistakes are fixed under our corrections policy.
What we leave out
- Personal trading signals, tips or "sure things".
- Rankings bought by the companies being ranked.
- Sensational headlines that the article can't back up.
